Schüco is the first U.S. window manufacturer to offer the TPS MAXX Glazing System, widely renowned in Europe for superior thermal efficiency. Designed to produce glass units of the highest conceivable quality, performance and durability standards, the TPS System delivers more superior insulating properties than most traditional spacer systems.

Metal glass spacers in other window systems act as thermal conductors—allowing heat to escape during the winter and heat to enter during the summer. Schüco TPS MAXX sealants do not conduct thermal energy. TPS sealants expand and contract simultaneously in response to temperature changes - eliminating sheer stress, which can cause seal failure in convential units with metal spacers.

Low-E coatings on Schüco windows increase insulation value because they retain heat in the home during winter and conversely prevent heat from entering your home in the summer.

When applying a sealant to glass that has a Low-E coating, the edge of the glass must be prepared to accept the seal. Many manufacturers skip this step; however, every piece of glass that we manufacture goes through a process called edge deletion. Edge deletion involves a process of taking off the coating around the perimeter of the glass unit so that the seal can bond to the glass without obstruction. Testing has proven that failure to perform edge deletion of Low-E coated glass can create corrosion due to exposure to moisture and or seal failure.

With our exclusive Schüco TPS MAXX System, making insulated glass units is as easy as cooking your favorite recipe. With our computer optimized gas-filling chamber, the entire glass unit is enveloped with your choice of argon or krypton gas to ensure a complete and consistent fill every time. Your glass package is then sealed in the same chamber where the unit was filled so there is virtually no chance of gas loss before the final seal.

Each glass unit is filled to a tested 99% plus capacity with high performance argon or krypton gas, ensuring maximum energy performance the day your windows are installed. More importantly, years from now our certified and tested TPS MAXX insulated Glass System will still have the same amount of gas as the day it was installed.
